Our washdown water tanks can be designed to withstand any flow rate and space constraint. All fittings can be customised to ensure your tank easily integrates with your system…
When industrial plant or vehicles are washed down, the flow-off water will contain particles removed from the plant or vehicle. While these may not be hazardous, particle accumulation can soon block drains and cause back-flooding. Water from the washdown area flows to a washdown water tank – also known as a silt separator – where the particles sink to the bottom of the tank and the water is expelled into the drains or if required, passed through additional filtration and treatment processes. The tank is periodically pumped out to remove the particle accumulation. Washdown water tanks are only suitable for particles that are denser than water.
