Lab fume cupboards are designed to control and remove toxic or harmful fumes. Toxic, offensive or flammable vapors, gases and aerosols are extracted through the perforated interior into a neutralisation chamber where the fumes are scrubbed and the air recirculated. Alternatively, these can be ducted to an external scrubber, or in less hazardous application to the outside air.
By removing hazardous fumes and dust particles, this enable safe working for operatives even in confined locations. As the hood provides protection against toxic fumes, vapours and dust, the integral drain system ensures accidental spills are drained off immediately for safe keeping. This reduces downtime and eliminates experiment interruption from spills.
With the ability to manufacture these exactly to your requirements in house, we offer the following options as standard which can then be adapted to suit your laboratory needs:
- Optional safety glass screen
- Optional chemical spill drain tank integrated into base cabinet
- Optional internal sink with running water
- Optional gas tapping
- Optional power sockets
- Optional daylight internal LED lighting
- Optional drawer and cupboard storage in base cabinets
We understand that not all laboratories require the same equipment, that is why we work with you to design the exact product to meet your requirements and allow for the flexibility of future needs.
